— SOCAR Head Office is looking for a Senior Economist for Innovations and Market Research Division under Strategic Management and Innovations Department.
— Main job responsibilities:

- Supports the development of internal innovation culture and system (e.g. preparation of various strategic documents (roadmaps, programs, project plans etc.) and organization of events (workshops, online presentations);
- Carries out internal idea management program and actively oversees local and international start-ups in core and related business;
- Using international market data platforms develop economic and business forecasts, country analysis, business development proposals, recommendations for investment;
- Preparation of various reports, whitepapers and other analysis to the company management;
- Centralization and coordination of innovative proposals and start-ups across SOCAR Group;
- Actively cooperate with other industry players;
- Other ad hoc tasks as/when required;What we offer?

Əsas tələblər

- Higher education (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance);
- Degree in abroad is a privilege;
- At least 3 year of related experience, preferably in oil and gas industry, private equity, investment, market research, management consulting;
- Strong theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of innovation management and start-ups;
- To be aware of oil and gas value chain activities and relevant basic principles;
- To know basic principles of finance, accounting and financial modelling, business planning;
- Well informed about global, regional and local start up ecosystems
- ACCA, CIMA and CFA are privileges;
- Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation and presentation skills;
- Time management and organizational skills;
- Ability to develop new approaches to resolve complex issues;
- Strong work ethics, problem solving and creativity;
- Strong interpersonal, team-oriented skills, self-motivation and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution;
- Fluency in Azerbaijani and English;
